Using someones work for inspiration is okay IMO, if thats not copy-paste :)

About trolling, I agree with Lewin, I haven't seen any serious offences against you in this thread. Maybe next time you want to make quotes of others replies, but IMO thats not worth it, just accept constructive critics and don't take it close to the heart.

Honestly when I saw this topic I thought it was a joke, but you seem to be serious so my appologies for the trolling.
Anyway maybe add some bigger screenshots?
Like open Kam in a window then zoom out and you have the whole map,
with those 2 small pictures you just can't see a lot of difference with To's work.

BloodTree, your map is a shame. Next time, create it by yourself. Look on To's maps. Ask him how much time he spent to learn making them, how much time costs him to test them and how much negative feedback he had got until his maps became the most popular in Remake. Bloody Shame, Aren't you tired of plagiarism?

P.s. Last update is truly ugly.

You can tell that without downloading map? I spent more then 40h on my map and still working at it. Can you explain about what plagiarism you talking?

P.s I don`t care what most players say because even you did not said what you don`t like in map. So it`s only another troll replay.

I'm sorry, but I refuse to give a chance to this map. It still looks like Dead of Winter a lot. Same bridges (left, right), passages (especially in the middle) and water; very similar locs (especially north). No one says you can't make a map with 4 locs on top and 4 down, but when it also has all the elements I mentioned as well, then it is too similar to be considered a map (it is an edit). It's like with music. If there's an original music track made by someone, other guys can remix it. Remixes might be good or bad. But as long as it contains parts of the original track, it is STILL A REMIX. It can't be considered a new track.

(Sampling is whole another thing though - there's sometimes a thin line between remixing and sampling - but that's not my point. If someone wants to hear my explanation about that (offtopic though): in KaM mapmaking, everyone makes maps from the same smallest possible parts - textures, sprites etc. These parts are the same as samples in music. So, using and editing a original map isn't like sampling - it's like remixing.)

Of course, if you are OK with the fact that this map is a remix (not an original creation), then it's fine. Of course you are more than OK to make a remix of a map and play with whoever you want. But I really doubt, that a remix would be ever officially included by Lewin and Krom in the Remake.

Why?

I guess if they really think it looks the same like the original map, but the original map maker doesn't have a problem with it and the map is good, it would be included like any other good map.

OK fair point. But still, in this case it's too similar I guess... and, the original map maker said
Before I've seen the map I gave permission to clone the original map without copying parts of it. Now that I've seen the map I can see that probably the whole map is copied and Bloodtree has modified most places. I can provide atleast 10 screenshots from all over the map if needed but I think Bloodtree understands my point on this. I'm not discussing the amount of resources or the quality of the map. So Bloodtree, please feel free to rebuild the map to your liking as long as you don't copy it. Good luck, I know it will take alot of time.

So, he explicitly denied him a right to remix it. The placement of certain structures (like the bridges etc.) on both maps makes me certain that at least some parts were copied then edited. Very likely the whole map was edited, as I don't believe BloodTree would make whole map from scratch, if it's that similar, and some things are in exactly the same places! Come on... I'd love to judge your map making skills, but give me a good reason. If you are not good in making ideas for maps, admit it and ask some people around for drafts/drawings/ideas etc. There are lots of people that don't know how to make maps and don't have time/will to learn it. (Me for example :D)

There is another reason why i am doing this but can`t tell that reason now.

Map seems to be finished but i hope someone can test it too.
Made it in r5057.
I can say this map is for rush vs rush there is no small passage and there are two place where you can hind your few horse for ambush.
