@TDL: It looks like AI has a lot to learn from you ;)

@Mr Bo: I think it's totally wrong idea for the main game. Mutator - maybe, but as a general rule - no. KaM is about economy and attention to details. With current change we are trying to shift the balance back to diverse and complex game which makes you build not only warfare, but other parts of the town.

I disagree. Feeding your soldiers actually gives you a major advantage. If you feed them you have your old troops + the new troops you can recruit, if you don't feed them you only have your new troops and it's unlikely that you can recruit more than the other player can feed + recruit. Just because most players don't feed their soldiers or aren't able to feed their soldiers doesn't mean we should remove hunger.

@Krom: Fortunately, yes, it would be sad if I could learn from the AI :P

I dislike the idea of removing hunger for the sodliers, I often feed mine (especially ranged soldiers, since they are less likely to die) and it would be too easy without having to feed them.

TDL for feeding your soldiers you need a bigger food production, more food less weapons.
And I like food for soldiers, but the way soldiers are feeded is just terrible.
If that could be changed there would be no reason why I would wanted it to be removed.

No, just close your inn, feed your soldiers, open it again and train some new citizens that died instead of your soldiers.

It works, it's what I always do in case of emergency.

Only produce bread and you'll have food for your army and you citizens.

I wasn't talking about the food production, more about your serfs bringing the food to the soldiers..

Feeding your army is a core part of KaM. You can move a feed melee group to the front line, then move a hungry one back so they can be fed. Of course if you feed the front line of troops the serfs will be shot, you have to manage it. We've made the serfs walk back to your village after feeding your troops so they aren't strewn all over the battlefield like in original KaM.

I think it's good because someone which takes the time to make food production and weapons production will be able to keep his army alive, but someone who rushed for weapons will have to let parts of his larger army die.

I think the food is pretty good now. I had to adjust in the beginning, but I played my second game yesterday and even though I didn't have a huge army, it was a great game. The teams were well balanced. It was on Golden Cliffs, btw.

Ah you mean the game where I managed to have 5 soldiers after pt? :D

And well, I guess we'll keep food the way it is then.

Lewin, can you please randomize units hungryness after it was trained? Because its a bit messfull when all your starting group of builders and serfs begin sturming an inn(around 20serfs+15builders). Also it slows early game to much. So i suggest after unit leave a school it will have +-1 min of starv. condition then unit before. What do you think of it?

That's already the way it works, and has been for as long as the Remake has been playable in multiplayer ;)
In original KaM units all started with the same amount, but in the Remake they start with between 22.5 and 31.5 minutes before they need to eat for the first time.
