Thunder you are my idol in creating maps. As the creator of this map says that the map is unbalanced, then I ask what else is it? I do not mean this match, but the tournament. The corners positions are also not good (you can see in the editor). This, unfortunately, will not change anything ... EdMatt, I comment on it now, because I've never played on this map before. Iron is a key raw material for victory (map "Alice" is badly balanced for 3v3). Suppose that the next match will last three hours, and then what? Ferrous fight vs light units? (GG)
Will you do what you want, but it remains the fact that it's not fair. I have one solution (the best in my opinion) - remove extra iron, and each participant in the tournament to send a revised map. Cheers.

I can agree that it might give a slight advantage of its own for that location, but I do not think its imbalanced.

I dont think that 6 iron mines is big advantage here. Its still not so easy to make it work well .It is possible to do the same or even better city without that 3 additional mines. Just put more woodcutters and workshops and trade axe to iron ore (1axe = 1iron ore).

Romo in the long game, you'd have everything (including food and swapping axes in the market). EdMatt this advantage gives bad balance ^ ^. I told her. Thank you.

OK. We just had a talk on TS between interested sides (and not only) and we agreed there's a little problem with the map being played in this configuration. The result of the game we played today is probably going to stay (IG offered a rematch, but our team doesn't feel it's necessary - still need to ask one player tho to be sure), but we're concerned now about all the other games that are supposed to be played on Alice in the future. So, we see three options:
-forbidding to use the additional iron from now on
-replacing the map with another one
-(last resort option, I don't like it) make an additional drawing, and for each Alice game give one of the remaining 4 maps (Across, Golden, Majestic, Western), so we delete Alice but we don't replace it with anything, leaving us with 4 maps instead of 5
-leaving the rules as they are, if we decide it's fine as it is

i agree with this, i compared the map editor both left vs right and top vs bottom and i can say it still has it's balance problems on aspects of gold general building space and farming space. . The map is fine for fun games but not suitable for something competitive like a tournament.

I think replacing the map is the best option.

Sado is indeed a gentleman, giving away a win like this, but I think we will want to rematch because it was indeed unfair in some ways.

I think that even if map is unbalanced the most important things are our tactical decission. Its still possible to win games where enemies are stronger or have better locations. Anyway I need to agree that in tournament unbalanced maps are not the best option to play... Lets change Alice to other map from pool or replace it by using other map. According to balance I think the best map can be : Swain Hill or The Torn Empire.

I really disagree with you Romek, but if i had to choose betweeen Swain Hill or the Torn Empire, I would choose Swan Hill.
Torn Empire was not thought out well enough as a tactical map, its visual aspects are lacking big time and I just feel like it cannot be as a main map of the tournament as it promotes camping like crazy. The only think I like about this map is balance of resources.
Swan hill is also a balanced map but a very problematic map too, as I mentioned about Torn empire, it promotes a certain degree of camping, but at least it has some sort of fighting space and that is a score, even though it is not the prettiest map in the world it has some variety in its terrain.
If you ask me, we need to delete the 4th map pick and change it to golden cliffs, a nicely balanced map with open space and players to attack. probably the best 6p map out there.

i have been told that sado did not want to re-match with I.G that means the results will be untouched but
all other matches on Alice are gonna be replaced with Golden Cliffs

I disagree with over-using Golden Cliffs. More variety is needed in the map pool.
I vote for Swan Hill... it's better than the resource abuse that is Alice.
Stop with the mainstream maps like Golden Cliffs.
Remember that Variety is what makes a tournament interesting.

Guys, I think Swan Hill is very good option to replace Alice. It's made for 6 players and looks different than other maps in the tournament

About Iceline: I didn't play this map so I cant tell you if I like it or not. In the editor map looks fine for me.
I don't like the idea about extra Golden Cliffs but if it gonna be that way I will accept it.

we can not make everyone happy make yourself happy by yourself it is the best advice
anyways the tables have been updated and i don't want any further modifications to it
please accept it since i think now it is quite well balanced i mean the chosen maps for the matches
