The Peasants Rebellion now finally released for Linux!

Maybe a month old, but news nonetheless, Knights and Merchants - The Peasants Rebellion for Linux went gold on February 26, and was by March 13 available for purchase at most well stocked Linux retailers. I haven't got around to try it, so I cannot tell how good it's quality is, but looking at Linux Game Publishings experience with porting games it has to be quite good. A free to try demo version was also released which you can find from the download section. To celebrate this release, I've decided to add files for other operating systems like Mac and Linux to the downloads section! (The downloads are now sorted alphabetically for easier browsing and a lot of broken mirrors have been fixed!)

Sorry for being a bit late...:) Has any of you tried KaM for Linux since having been released? I personally found it by visiting the following links:

http://www.jbox.ca/performance/knights-and-merchants-for-linux.html
http://www.linuxgamepublishing.com/info.php?id=knights
http://www.tuxgames.com/details.cgi?gameref=118&

Unfortunately I haven't met a link by that I could buy it in Hungary, although KaM for Windows was (maybe is) sold here for many years. If any of you has experiences about this edition, please show us some comparison regarding multiplayer compatibility, differences in file structure etc.

Once I've installed free demo to Ubuntu 8.04 and it was running quite slow but right. More things I don't remember for I don't have that filesystem since then.

I find it a bit expensive, seeing prices in my country, don't you?

Have you tried running KaM under Wine? (Windows Emulator) I found it works really well. (far better than the demo, which lags and stuff)

AFAIK also there's no native TPR for Linux (and your links lead to TSK).
