Decrease soldiers' feed limit

Now you soldiers are fed if their condition is less than 75%. But soldiers appear from barracks with 60%. One missclick, and you lose the game or use autosave. Because of this, I suppose this limit should be decreased to 50% at least.

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

Think it is reasonable change.
Also it will slightly fix situation, when ur group was not trained at one time, so when you feed group because of only a few warriors you do not feed too many satiated units

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

I do not see how this is an improvement, more such as making the game easier... Miss-clicking can happen at any point in game, thats what the game makes interesting. Next is a cancel button for storm attack?
Voting No because the game is as good as it is in my opinion.

Very interesting points, equa. You've won me over: This feature is not needed. Just more talk I think ;)

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

Also I want to note, that although Vovets puts this "fix" as a relatively simple solution for "the misclicking problem", it is not so. It has quite deep consequences on soldiers requiring food earlier by ~5min which may severely affect how lategame is played (which may be bad or may be good in itself).

As for the misclicking problem - why not just make the button a switch? Being pressed it requests food, when everyone is fed it's released. Releasing it manually cancels the feed order.

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

Sounds also good. Espesially with new mechanism of rerouting serf with goods in their hands. Anyway 75% feels too high value. Why we need to feed soldiers with more then 50% hunger.

Krom, I do not see how it will change late game. Soldiers will still starts with 60% and will feel hunger at the same time as now. We just do not want to feed 50-75% full warriors, which not often scenario actually, but sometimes happens.
Equa, I do not think cancel X btn and reducing hunger limit while feeding is the same thing. Lets do not mess alltogether here. Btw many things we are doing now can make game easier. Just check it out https://trello.com/invite/b/2Ob4zYKr/18 ... ernational

Let take a look at card "Redispatch resource/product if house was demolished" (also when warrior was killed, serf will take goods to another soldier or storehouse), or "Close house for worker", or even already done "Woodcutters - cutting point". Do any of these features make game harder? No. It looks like oldschool community do not like when game become easier, even if it is reasonable "easification". We do not want to make game too easy. But some things have to be changed to make game not easy, but more controlled, so skiled player can show his skill. IMHO.

Also I want to mention about one issue again, when you need to feed 5 soldiers in a group of 30, who was trained in barracks much earlier then other 25. Now its almost impossible. You will never get them by splitting group, it takes too much time now. So I usually just do not use join btn in this case. Or feed these 5 first then join.

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

Slightly off topic, but why wasn't a "feed hungry" implementation added? I believe this is the honest reason why most people don't feed troops in multiplayer. It's just too difficult.

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

What is a "feed hungry" ? And where does the line between hungry and not hungry lies?

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

I think that 75% limit survived from times before 4001, when condition level was reduced from from ~80% to 60%. And feed limit stayed 75%. Because of this i want to reduse it.

Feed hungry: If a unit is hungry (fork+knife cloud) then serfs will only feed the hungry units within a group.

Re: Decrease soldiers' feed limit

@Ben: If you have hungry units in a group, chances are that other units are at different conditions too and some might get hungry in a minute or two or ten.

At which point in a minute or two or ten you can issue another "feed hungry" command and have 2 serfs come and feed them, without having to split the group nor having to feed everyone else again. :P

It's even possible to add an "auto feed hungry" toggle to avoid the hassle of doing this every 2 minutes.
(Instead of sending a "troop hungry" message it would automatically issue the feed order)
