What I don't understand is why this img continues to appear before our IP's even though there's no firewall: Image

Re: 2 server questions

To answer your original question, the dedicated server requires very minimal resources. It basically just forwards packets, it doesn't do any game logic calculations. It should use a tiny amount of RAM (< 20 MB) and minimal CPU usage (the most I've seen is ~10% of a core on a VPS when there were about 40 players on the server). The server is single threaded so won't use more than 1 core. Did you have any issues with the server using lots of RAM or CPU? That could indicate a bug.

For your problem, can I confirm that these are the steps in your problem?:
1. Server starts normally, multiple players can connect and play without any issues.
2. Later players disconnect, then the server stops appearing on the server list both in-game and on the website (shows the warning icon on the website).

Next time the server disappears from the server list, can you please try connecting directly to the server's IP address and port using "Find Server by IP" on the multiplayer screen? I want to find out if the server has stopped accepting any connections, or if it is just being announced incorrectly on the server list.

Most of our dedicated servers are run on Linux machines, so it's possible that there are some bugs in the Windows dedicated server because it hasn't been thoroughly tested.
What I don't understand is why this img continues to appear before our IP's even though there's no firewall: Image
The icon means your server did not respond when our master server tried to connect to it. This is usually a firewall/routing issue, but in your case it could be a bug in the server that causes it to stop accepting new connections.

Re: 2 server questions

Well, I let de server run all night long and I checked this morning and it was there, so I guess that main problem of the server suddenly disappearing is over. But I still get that triangle, even though the ports are forwarded properly.

If you see that icon then you shouldn't be able to connect to the server from in the game. I just checked and the warning icon is showing for your server (62.194.11.91:56789), and I can't connect to it by IP in the game. It's refusing connections (not timing out). So it looks like something causes the server to stop accepting connections until you restart it. It's unlikely to be port forwarding since it starts working when you restart the server. It's also unlikely to be your firewall for the same reason (unless something starts blocking it after some time). So it could be a bug in the dedicated server. Now we need to narrow down what causes it.

When you find the server in this state, can you send us the latest log file from the Logs folder?

Re: 2 server questions

Okay, I have been paying attention and everytime the same message shows up after which the servers can no longer be found: "Server: ClientDisconnect. Error: Connection reset by peer (#10054)"

Re: 2 server questions

I tried it on another VPS. Same story. It just stops after that error.

My home server: Windows XP x64
VPS 1: Windows server 2008 x64
VPS 2: Windows server 2012 x64

I used 3 different OS (all 64 bits though) and on all three I get the exact same problem.

The IP does not change. I have the same IP for months now. Besides, even if my IP did change; so what? The port would still have been forwarded, the firewall would've still been off and the server settings would've still have been the same. Nothing but the IP would've changed.

I'm just waiting for an admin or someone else to help me with this, seeing as a lot of people are experiencing the same thing if I am to look at the serverlist.

Most of the time that's the user's fault, the just clicked the "create server" button in the game on their home internet connection without realising they need to forward ports on their router to allow incoming connections. We regularly answer emails from users asking why their server isn't working, and 90% of the time it's because they didn't forward ports in their router, and when they did it fixed their problem. So I wouldn't assume that most of the servers on the list with the warning icon have the same problem as you.

In your case it looks like there's something else going on. I will try to reproduce the problem and let you know the results of my findings.

Re: 2 server questions

Great. I hope you find the problem soon. It is kind of hard to contribute to this community when none of our servers function properly. :P
