Gameboy (Color) on a mobile

I found out you can actually play gameboy/gameboy color roms on a mobile phone using a java-based emulator for it. (J2ME compatible phones)

Nice, didn't know there were emulators for Java only phones, do remember playing around with some Commodore 64 emulator made for Symbian some years two or so ago.
Well, my current mobile doesn't even have Java .

Woah that's epic. but it would be difficult to play a gameboy color game using a keypad. >_> Nice idea but it can't be practical. Besides, I still have an old game boy advance I use to play those games anyway.

well, a lot of mobile phones have a joystick-thingy (mine has, and it's three years old), that goes fairly well.

They're relatively easy to emulate, due to their z80-like cores. It's actually more of a 8080 clone with added features, but everyone calls it a z80 clone anyway - not sure why
They don't have index and shadow registers, so it's not like z80 at all..

Nope it has a Motorola 68k, very different

Yes, to process sound, seems like an odd choice to me, I would have used a processor with native floating point support
Well maybe they didn't exist back then, I haven't looked that up yet..
