I don't like these maps. Much of them need big improvements, before they will be good enough to be included to the game.

All of these maps are very bad! How something like this can be in KaM Remake!?

Re: Maps by Piko

I've got your maps. I agree with you that snow mountains is quite weak. But u can improve it by making a bit more fertile grounds and maybe adding some food to the storehouse. Maybe wood will be a problem to at some locs.

Villages near the river seems interesting. But maybe its a bit too far to get stone for loc 3 compared to the others. Again no food. Maybe u did it on purpose. If so i think its fine as long as u got enough resources available to build early farms. I see it also for ffa but this can be difficult since there is only one bridge.

South island. I think it lacks coal (about 2 mines per player). Maybe put a bit more trees near the starting locs. The map is quite open so hard to defend at some points.

Marshlands. I kinda like the idea of separating weak and strong players. BUT who is weak and who is strong? I don't know if the strong players do have enough space, especially when u make it 3v3v1v1. Maybe make it 3v3v2 and place loc 8 a bit higher to create some distance from loc 4. Also change some of the marshland near those 2 into normal ground since they lack space now.

Note: Never played one of your maps so my opinion is purely based on what i see in the editor

A lot of criticism but i don't mean it bad. But i hope this will help you improving maps and keep making new ones. :)

There aren't iron, there are only gold - so there don't need more coal.

Unfortunely, I can't change this map very much. It's true locs 1, 2, 4 and 5 have too much space, and loc 3 and 7 haven't got enough. But remember the locs 7 and 8 have much of food in warehouse and they don't have to produce it.

Very thanks for those comment.

Re: Maps by Piko

Ok, I made new version of my maps. I:
- give more food to warehouses on all maps
- improved objects on South Island
- give more space to loc 3 on Marshlands
- some other things.

I also do a new map - Neighborhood Clash.

Re: Piko's Maps [3rd June - Update!]

Piko, i guese it would be more replies if your maps are included to the KaM. But they dont. SO maybe you should try to promote them on server, play it and share with oher players. And next time ask Lewin to include your maps in the release.

As for me - Neiberhood clash is interesting... But to little of place

You know maps Neighborhood Clash and Marshlands are in Remake, right? ;)
About promote it: it's easy to say, but it's hard to do. Few months ago I did that, but players mostly want to play other maps, don't want to download it.

Yeah, I know it's not much place, I'll fix it.

You are right, this map is too small. So I made new version of my map, much bigger (128x80 -> 160x96). I hope this map is much better now ;)

In warehouse are 30 more stone than in previous version (40 more than in version added to KaM Remake), from stone mountains you can mine the same number than before. If it is too small, I can change mountian tiles to more valuable.

Re: Piko's Maps [28th June - Update!]

its was a quite small amount so adding a bit more won't harm it i think

Re: Piko's Maps [28th June - Update!]

I did test: used 5 stonemasons and all stone was mined after >50 minutes. It is not bad result, but ok, I give more stone.

Edit: Newiest version added, in it is able to mine much more stone from mountains.
