Re: Christmas Tournament!

I agree with Itlerion: http://www.kamremake.com/chat/
We must enter the chat-room whenever we have free time, expecting to find other Tournament participants.

Multiplayer Lobby would need this for next Kam release -> a simple Chat (List of idle players at the right).
Later, programmers can add the Invite function, as 1 member suggested at KamR Ideas.

Respect Players Evaluation
This is one, or lets say, the most important of the goals with the tournaments: To discover the true Level of all these new Nicks.

We have been doing a auto-evaluation, however we know that reality comes up when we compare our own impressions with other unknown people. What is being a 1? What is being a 10? (?)

My Suggestions

1) Classification SOLO: Instead of using Numbers, lets use Stars (asterisks).
The game itself is not SO DEEP as for using 10 different grades of players.

I recommend to use from 1 to 4 stars, and features relationed with each Type of Player.
A feature could be the amount of Storehouses a player builds, related to the "Base design" and forward Expansion.

SAVE Categorization
*: Starter
**: Average
***: Veteran
****: Elite

2) Classification DUO/TEAM: Considering *Stars* from members, the Team will be rated as the total Sum of *Members Stars*.
It's a easy way to determinate which Team is "stronger" when comparing with others.

This method can be used to pair fairly balanced sides in Level (not mattering the Nº of players).
2vs3 Balanced Sides: Team A (4+3) = Team B (3+3+1)
2vs5 Imbalanced Sides: Team A (4+4) > Team B (2+2+1+1+1)

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I don't know what you mean by the storehouse count.
I myself only need 1, sometimes at some maps 2 storehouses.
I always try to work as efficient as possible.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

"Storehouse count"-> Base Design/Expansion: is the way you stablish your main base and expand across Scenario.

There are other several FEATURES to add in the categorization of Players, such as: food set up/distribution, things he priorizes from start (build-order based in map), micro-management at battle, knowledge of "little tricks".

Anyway... the players with most Wins will be due to something.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

Mine wouldn't be by size of production or army.
only by efficiency of distribution and fights.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

Here by the solo tournament is postponed to whenever some guys think they have the time to answer my PM's.

Thats right! I am very disappointed by the attitude and intelligence of some people.
When you are registering for a tournament or whatever, YOU LEAVE YOUR CONTACT INFO.
I ended up sending people PM's and am not receiving answers.

What are they thinking? That a magical note would appear right in their face telling them to get their lazy asses to KaM?

There are 2 Dutch moron's who didn't leave contact info behind.
There is one guy who makes an account, registers for the tournament and then doesn't say shit.

How on earth am I supposed to organize a tournament when half of the people bury their heads in the sand.

Czentovic if you are there and read this message, then please read the couple of dozens of pm's I have send you.

If there are guys who don't reply because they don't speak English, then why on earth did they register for a tournament organized on an English forum.

Again people, I AM NOT A WIZARD!!!
Leave contact info and make sure you are reachable.

I know this is a difficult system to work with.
But I wanted to make a tournament in which 6players play against each other at the same time.
In that case I couldn't make it a knockout system because we would be done in 2 rounds (12players first match 6 start 3 go to next round).
So it is a league system. Don't like it? Don't register.

"So it is a league system. Don't like it? Don't register."

I am asking now no for this tournament, but for another tournaments in future: what do you think about the system of championship, where players playing with each other in matches 1x1 for pionts (as in football and hockey leagues)? I am asking you this question cause we have already played 1 fighting championship by such system (it was before remake multiplayer games) and another one championship is playing now (however it is the VK.com tournaments). And how do you think - does this system is able to matches with buildings? (I am asking this cause ffa in fighting matches is not represent class of players).
