Christmas Tournament!

Tournament is canceled. Lots of people signed out and I am very busy IRL.
Sad, inevitable, it is over. No winners, no losers.

One day I will try again, probably in the summer when I have more time.

I just want to say thanks to everybody who participated.
Thank you for your support and initiatives.
Thank you for your ideas and feedback.
Thank you for playing or if you haven't played, thank you for participating.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I would like to participate, but I don't have a partner yet. Anyway, I have a question/comment: it seems like you want people to arrange games themselves, but I don't think that will work. Stronger players will be avoided by others, and the winners will probably be the ones who arranged the most matches. Maybe I misunderstood you, but might it be a good idea to make some sort of tournament scheme? :)
Also, for huge free for all or 2v2v2 matches, the players who play most passively will probably win.

Your in game name: The Dark Lord
Country and timezone: Netherlands CET (GMT+1)
Solo: Amount of players you want to fight in one match: 1-5
Duo: Amount of players you want to fight in one match: 2,4,6
Your skill on a scale from 1-10: Solo: 8.5 Duo: 8.0
Times you (and your partner) cannot/will not start a match in GTM: Variable

I'll play on any map vs anybody.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I will tell 6 people for solo and 8 for duo that they will have to play against each other. They must play that match or they will all receive 2/3rds of the average points/player (1vs1 will result in both players receiving 1point).
THEY can pick a map, time and peace time but need to notify me of how it went.
I will decide who is playing who so nobody plays less games than others.

I am making a scheme in excel for my self, I will post it when the registrations are done.

By getting more points for bigger matches I hoped to avoid player picking/preferring (picking an easy opponent).
If someone is playing unfair or too passively, the other players can tell me.
If I have enough complains about a certain player or seen evidence (replay), I will give him penalty points, no points at all or call for a rematch, depending on the violation.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I would register if this would be in another period. During the christmas holiday I have to work every day from 5 AM until 6 PM so I won't really find the courage to play some KAM tournament after work :( on another occasion I will participate, for sure!

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I was thinking about the 26-30th but we can also have it after new year.

Winners will earn the traditional title of cheaters, hackers, jerks, pricks, people without a life and friends of the organizers.

Nah, but you will have the right to say that you are the number one in a game that is totally unknown to the world.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

I would like to play, but those days Im far from a computer... visiting relatives.
Btw... are you "promoting" this website anywhere to get +players?

Sad because I really wanted to play.
NICK: Jeronimo
Solo: 5 / Duo: 4

What are you evaluating as 10? and what would be a 1?
We need an AUTOEVALUATION TEST... depending knowledges about game/micro performance.

Still, how to contact each other... any chat-room? hamachi? Those are my worries.
My brother is another potential player (Solo: 4 / Duo: 5 :P ), but we'd like to meet people somewhere... to play.

Re: Christmas Tournament!

If we don't have enough registrations(less than 18 players for solo and/or 8 teams for duo), I will postpone it and call it the new years tournament.
And yes I am going to multiplayer rooms to tell about it and Lewin said that he might put it on the announcements in the multiplayer room.
