High quality music patch

OBSOLETE: Do not use with the recent RC

I'm sure that most people who have played The Shattered Kingdom noticed that the music in The Peasants Rebellion was really low quality compared to the original. This was naturally done to save a lot of space though I would still happily had sacrificed some 80mb of my hard drive space to get higher quality music.
Well today's your lucky day, available here is a patch that includes higher quality versions of The Shattered Kingdom music!

Download (66,7 MB)

Install notes:
1. Patch your game into the latest beta version of the 1.60 patch (This is required)
2. Download the music patch
3. Specify your TPR 1.60 beta folder as the installation directory
4. Play the game!

It didn't really bother me before. But this seems a nice part of the patch. Bringing TPR as close as possible to TSK. Stupid that they had to save diskspace on music. The game eventually was only 200 - 300 MB and that is not too much.

Well done!
Just a few points:
- When you officially release 1.60 you will need to update the installer because at the moment it says to install the latest beta. (I'm sure you already know this)
- When I select my TPR folder it says that it already exists, and am I sure I want to install there? Of course it exists! Can't you change this in the installer setup?

A part from that, all good! The install looks really official.
To be honest the difference is quite subtle, but I do think it sounds better now.

Yeah, the final patch will also check that you have the game patched to 1.60 and such.

Weird, didn't notice it complaining about this when testing, but will take a look.

Yeah though I was planning on having somewhat different graphics (pointing more to music and not the game itself) in the final installer. This was just an early one for testing.

It was mainly some of the music that had been added in 1.60 patch that had low quality. Though some of the originals also sounded somewhat worse.

hey guys, Norton Internet Security rates the file as a virus!! (WS.Reputation.1)

There is definitely not any virus in the installer. A false alarm on Norton Internet Security's part.

High quality patch link has expired.
I corrected the link, it was hosted on my server and my domain name changed a while back. I think SR3 might include the high quality music now anyway, but I'm not sure.

The 1.60 patch now includes this patch and I do not recommend installing it anymore (I haven't tested what it does to the RC, but chances are some music tracks might get duplicated and some others might get deleted).
