Re: powah gamin!

It's not powah gamin dicsoupcan, your enemies weren't competetive, as whole game was definitely too slow.
Remove your replay from my sight immediatly. I don't want you posting around my thread again. Are we clear dude?
Wow man, take it easy Florek. He just wanted to share his game because he did play very well there.
There is no need to overreact or make "powah threats"... 3 prayers for dicsoupcan... :'(

It's missing with my aim at this moment, I just wanted others to notice/remind, that this topic is for best games only. :p

Anyway sure, dicsoupcan playing is best there (on replay).

Highland Woods
Team 1: Mulberry, Da Revolution, Thunder
Team 2: Florek, Jeronimo, Beerzoeper

http://speedy.sh/QDXW5/powah-tour-Highland-Woods.rar

Stats screen: Image

As Mulberry wish, no spolier today! :P Stiff fight in the middle and down of the map. Many decisive cavalry maneuevers! Notice the fact, that some players (me, Mulberry) were very quickly out of main gold, which created problem with sending fresh reinforcements. It was first Jeronimo game in 3-4 months.

Have fun!

Re: powah gamin!

Good game! Well played! Not the best towns but BEAUTIFULL MICRO! Those bridge fights on south! Brilliant!

p.s. For 1 loc i suggest to build 2 extra woodcutters in the east near the coast, in early game. And place farms in one line for this reason. Also make your road to extra gold as early as you can (I had extra non trained 40 bows all he game because i havent got recruits)

Re: powah gamin!

After watching replay, I admit being surprised with everyone's bases... critical Starvation!
Looked like noone would survive in a long-term match.

Da Revolution/Thunder were quite defensive, I thought they would take the initiative to attack us somewhen earlier.
I'm referring to the many moments they were "safe" and didn't advance a single inch.

Mulberry was the best from opposite side, mainly by his military micro.
Next time I will include cavalry in my army. This game I had to coordinate with Florek (he had Knights), to circle on Mulberry Ranged,... but sometimes "timing" was fail, thus Florek's troops dying before I arrived with my slower troops.

Beyond the statistics, I didn't do so bad despite being rusty...
I discovered some flaws in my normal playstyle, which I can correct easily

Re: powah gamin!

My city was build for the long term. I could even feed my army at a certain point. Most civilians lost were because of your attacks :p

About the defensive way of playing. Maybe i should have attacked beer, thats true. Attacking florek sometimes seems safe while it isn't, i am always more careful with that ;)

Great game though.

Re: powah gamin!

Hi folks,

Here is a replay from a new map called Arctic Warfare. Florek had difficulties playing/testing loc 2 so I decided to take loc 2 in this game. We all need to get used to new maps so don't expect it to be flawless. This map is build to be more open then usual, so it has more room to flank armies if needed and it's harder to digg in with towers. Distances are also greater then normal so expect large villages with much builders and serfs.

Maybe it's interesting to do a short review first:
Team 1: To (brown/loc 2) and Kates (purple/loc 3)
team 2: Koczis12 (yellow/ loc 1) and Florek (black/ loc 4)
Peacetime was 65 mins.

To's gameplay:
+ many wood early on
+ early leather production
+ 3 pigfarms
+ additional storehouse
+ mixed army
+ horses
+ exploring map before and after peacetime
+ towers
- not enough coal
- too few serfs to deliver buiding material fast enough.

kates' gameplay:
+ focused on wood early on
+ expanded nicely, grabbing all recourses along the way.
+ exploring map from the start.
+ additional storehouse
+ troops in numbers
+ splitting his troops made him win the 1st battle.
+ had all 5 ironmines supporting 4 smelters
+ a teamplayer
- no mixed army
- no food production at all
- no leather production at all

Koczis12's gameplay:
+ very fast farms
+ fairly fast iron production
+ 3 pigfarms
+ scouted his base
+ focused on leather also
- protection of the base was very poor
- lost too much troops by moving along towers
- only used xbows and lances

Floreks gameplay:
+ fast iron smelter
+ nice expanding in all directions
+ fast iron weapon production
+ leather production
+ 4 weapon makers late game to get many militia fast
+ 10 woodcutters total in the end
+ horses
+ mixed army
- bad luck/micro with horses
- defences game up too late

Nice review from everyone's gameplay. It's cool to compare them like that. :)
How many times did you have to rewatch replay till you had everyone deeply analyzed?
I agree Florek's micro with horses is... *cough, cough!*

I didn't know the map, that's why my horses micro failed.

Hey Razor... even if Stats Screen looks nice... notice that every game has also been uploaded with a Replay.
This is done because Florek assures if the match was actually "powah". Otherwise you get scolded!! :P
