Maybe you understand it now? It just don't get's its own stats. If I gow up and down with the arrows it takes the stats of the building before.

Great tool! :) This also finally allows us to see the exact unit stats for each soldier.
During my brief use I noticed that the Rebel does not load his stats correctly? I also suggest that you change the "Units" tab to "Citizens", because for all I know soldiers are units too :D

Hm, maybe I should fix this bug, but I think this will last a little bit (formated my computer, made a backup of important files, but I need to install Delphi7 again, but at the moment im to lazy...no, to be honest, I actually don't have the time).

nice tool but im experiencing some problems like after a while im unable to edit the crossbowman and lancecarrier :S.
anyway is there a possibility u just gonna release a batch file which can code en decode like there is one for mission.dat files?

also someone has a proper unit.dat file? :lol: since i cant edit the crossbowman and lancecarrier in mine :twisted:

Mission.dat isn't similar to units.dat/houses.dat. This tool don't decodes the files, it just replaces the bytes that have to be changed. As far as I know we don't know THAT much about this file, but we got pretty good information. Same with houses.dat.

encountered another bug when changing the axe fighter life...

PS: don't think i'm only negative about your tool :p i like it alot, im just reportin bugs i encounter :wink:

EDIT: when changing axe fighter life it also saves the same amount in defense

lancecarrier:
input from str is saved in str (pikes)
input from defense is saved in speed
input from lifes is saved in str
the other ones just dont save

so field r just messed up

when enter the value in str it changes right. when u do press enter in lifes value it takes the same amount of the one in str.

Oh, well, I just came back from holidays a few days ago. Let me take a look on this.

@Litude: Decoding section...My tool isn't listed at unit.dat/houses.dat. You may could change this please? Oh well, this is the wrong section for such things ..

i'm rly sad to hear that :cry:
will u try to remake it? cuz im looking forward to it to change my unit.dat 100% so i can replay the kampaign...
I also will release the unit.dat as a kind of MOD then. if someone want to try it out ofc...

This is really too bad, the editor was really useful, just some quite annoying bugs in it. :(
