Art with KaM Graphics

My first post on this forum: In just found out about this forum recently , but I've been active on dutch forums for quite some time now. I thought I knew all sites about KaM but apparently I missed this one.
Anyway, a couple of years ago I hadn't found the option in the windows registry to enable taking screenshots in KaM yet. The Graphics Editor did exist already so I could get every image I wanted, because if it's in KaM it is one of the 10884 images you can find in the Graphics Editor.
So theoretically I would be able to recreate a screen made in KaM just by using all seperate 10884 images, it would cost some time, but it's definitely possible.
Since I hadn't found a way to take screenshots in KaM I created some "Screenshots" manually this way(it took me ages, but there's a result).
I was working on a fifth when the EnableDirectDrawScreenshotsOption was introduced on a dutch forum and I realised all my work could have been done a lot lot lot faster(and better bacause the screenshot contain a lot of mistakes, though hardly visible), so I stopped :P

Please take a look: 1, 2, 3, 4.

P.S. To moderator(s): there is a rule on this forum that prevents me from posting links in my first post, I understand why, because all the porn and other junkposts you get otherwise, but I managed to post links in my first post.... ^^

Back in the old days when there was a DirectX control thing in the Control Panel, you could simply check a box there and that's that. But the menu's gone in DX9 (some people who also have DX8 or lower may have it)

No, it really was easy, it just took a lot of time. It's just lots of copying and pasting and a little creativity.

From a quick look they do really look like in-game screenshots and quite impressive as such (major battles etc.). The absence of evalation might make someone suspicious though :D
Do you remember back when you used to create these? I find it interesting as at least at the German forum it has been known for quite long that certain extrenal programs will allow you to take proper screenshots from the game.

No, I don't remember, but I've lookup it up. I created the first three screens in December 05. But even if it was already known on german forums then, I didn't know about it, because I haven't read that much on german sites since I can't understand it :P

They do kind of show how eager fan you were of the game though. Re-creating screenshots  For my own curiosity I happened to find the thread where I originally asked how to take screenshots from KaM DE here (Dated 2004).
