So some time ago i came a cross a post where someone mentioned snowy buildings. As far as i remember i didn't like any of those pics. So now i tried to make something myself :)

Here is the result.

Note: These are not edited screenshots. These are exported and edited sprites from TPR. I just put them over screenshots (that will explain why see only half of the flag).

going to put them in the game and see how it goes.

I doesn't look bad... but if you had whole city looking like this, won't that affect "visibility", i.e. everything would look the same and due to bright color it might tire the eyes.

Eyes get tired from staring at the monitor...
but yeah, you're probably right. I should keep that in mind
Later i will try to make some more SNOWY buildings, and then we'll see how it goes(this is just an experiment) :)

Nice first picture. I like it, only some contrast and brightness settings i would fix , but its really good :-) With which program do you have done this? If you need help, you could ask Hellracer. Why,because he had made sth like that nice thing: ;-)

"Hellracer"´s work. Not mine!

@KillingB: 2nd pic looks very good. I like the way you used so many shades on the roof )

They look good :)
However I think maybe you should consider putting some snow on more than just the room. Currently it looks a bit strange that the roof is covered with snow and yet the walls are completely clean (But where I live it never really snows so I'm probably not a good person to judge the way it looks :P). Some icicles hanging down or a bit of snow piled against the side would make it look more complete IMO. That's one thing I really liked about Hellracer's storehouse:

But I prefer your shading and lighting on the roof.

I agree with Lewin, that is what will make snow even better. *comment from someone who lives in best winter in last 5-6 years )))
Also, the flatter the surface the more snow it accumulates, and the more the angle - the less, snow just lies in fragments. Thats probably what is not ok with the mines pillars on left. Horizontal reddish plank probably needs some snow coverage as well.

Good work, keep it coming! :)

Offtopic but to Krom: When you are talking from the view of the actual snow situation in some regions like Russia, you just need to make the complete house full of snow :D

Looking good! :)
Misses some more decorative elements and small snow bags below, but icicles definitely improve the looks ;)

Can you post the workflow, what brushes and colors did you used? )

Does this have any chance of being implemented by default for buildings on snow, assuming we have all the graphics done? Or this topic will remain purely theoretical? :)
