Re: Snowy buildings (yes i have something to show)

So, a question from practical point of view: what happens/how does it look like when a building is on fire? :P

What about adding it to next release? I mean all snow buildings are ready, right? It would be nice to have them in some snow maps :).

Re: Snowy buildings (yes i have something to show)

I really like that project, but I don´t like 2 main points here:

1.) A building get´s "snowy" if it is on a small snowarea also. I am not sure in which mission that was, but it was in late TPR(Maybe even the last mission in TPR). You location hasn´t much snow but exactly where the stourehouse is, there is a bit of snow so the storehosue is also FULL covered with snow. This looks strange (what I have seen, if it was implemented for this one Testrelease).

2.) Already mentioned 20 times: Burning houses.

How about an idea like taking the snow animation (If you have done that for every building) from the last picture to the first picture? So with increasing fire, in the same time the size of snow decreases ? It won´t look too good still, but still better than what it is now (Just looking at your marketplace under Fire picture)

And now let's wait 1 more year for it to go in the remake!
Not sure if that´s a statement to the Remakedevelopers to implement it (faster). I know your feeling, my Flower isn´t implemented and won´t be implemented as an extra object also, even if I have invested much time in it, but there are always things that doesn´t fit to the game (shadows, looks on different terain etc.) So be patient and just try to fix the things, specialy the 2 developers will tell you to fix  If it won´t get into the remake, don´t worry you have it for yourself and for your Remake probably :D I also won´t invest more time in such things, because of the reason that it might not be implemented, but that´s a risk at such "fanwork" I guess/same as Map that should be added or not

Greetings

Re: Snowy buildings (yes i have something to show)

Maybe it is stupid, but I have a feeling the buildings might look better if they had a little more blue, not like oh lets paint the walls dark blue. But more like: the roof and such looks great. But the rest still feels pretty warm. Just making the rest of the building a little "colder" (in color) would compliment it even more I think. I will try and show you what I mean in the next post.

EDIT: Consider this the next post:
I tried to quickly illustrate my point with the iron mine, really quickly adjusted some stuff in photoshop. What do you guys think? I know it is only a small thing but I noticed it so I thought I would comment. But for example, the wine building looks great as is.
Also, I do not mean to hijack this tread.

My (slightly) changed version:

I hope this illustrates my point.

Re: Snowy buildings (yes i have something to show)

I can't see any difference, but I do have a crappy monitor so I'm not the best person to ask I guess :P

As for the topic, KillingB has been inactive for a very long time. You'll have a hard time reaching him to provide feedback because of this.

Ah that is unfortunate.

If you can't see any difference, I am afraid I have no way of showing you...
It kinda does strengthen the argument that it is a very, very subtle change.

I thought there were still some missing buildings... If not then yes we could add it to the next release.

Re: Snowy buildings (yes i have something to show)

They were implemented in a beta version a long time ago. However, KillingB never finished the building set. Unfortunately, the idea was abandoned after :(

The idea is fine. The Remake has the code. The only things we miss - some houses artwork and some work animation sprites fixes (https://github.com/Kromster80/kam_remak ... houses.txt).
