Hey I wanna show you my tiny progress of my wooden sign post. My question is would you like the sign post which shows in 2 directions? Up to here I have used only converted and resized KaM objects, so that it will fit better into the whole game.

Looks good so far :)
Usually direction planks are nailed on to a post, not attached to it's side. Also the planks need to be in perspective to be in KaM 3D (see how house tablets are rotated).

Thx for your fast feedback. i know the perspective isn´t good up to here, shadows aren´t there,too.
However i wanted to try the sign post first one the side´s of the planck like most sign posts are made:

Well i dont understand your perspective example of a "kam table" really :wink: could you post a picture or say more precisely what you exactly mean? :D

KaM tablets - small signs placed to mark which house gets placed. They are in a perspective and have some nice depth.

Ahhh now I understand. Ok i will take a look on them later. I wanted to use these signs also for the first step to my big sign,but it didn´t look that good :-)

I like the snow fox. But we're missing rabbits and the possibility for foxes to eat the rabbits. That would end in a real-time rabbit-fox algorithm ;)

The signs are cute. I just wonder if the scale is correct. They seem to be huge.

Haha I think this is too much fantasy for now, but indeed rabbits could be added also without huge problems.
About the signpost, I think they have more or less a good size(i will post a few ingamge pictures in a few days).

I would like to see a Snow Fox in next editor, restricted to Ice/Snow terrains (not half snow-dirt).
Because Crabs are restricted to sand, but there is nothing restricted to cold terrains yet.

Yeah exactly this was my plan for the mapmakers :-) to make some animals "only" for snow,like it is with the mentioned crabs, because we have actually really good snow MP maps by the way.

I think about to giving some trees(with animations) a little bit of snow and when the woodcutter is cutting them, the snow is falling :D (Idea from Mulberry).

About the sign post, i will pause up to here, because they are more people making this thing now, I think "FeyBart" will post also his nice version of a possible sign post, so stay exited :D

Nice objects. Have you made them with a 3D modelling program like Blender?


Well i have also tried to fix the, so that they should look little more KaM like, but i dont know really :?

Proportions are way off. Horizontal planks should be smaller. T shaped sign looks better, but maybe we could have not one, but two types of signs? T shaped tablet with taller plank (as if it was a billboard of sorts) with some text "Beware, ruler of these hills is a madman" and P shaped sign that says "Rome -> 650km"

I'm not sure about you Krom, but I'm not bigger than a sign post..

It does look funny, but I don't think their too large. Maybe a bit.
