Piko, this looks awesome! There aren't many users, who give good pics, but you made complete animation.
To be honest, I think older version is better, because bag with swag looks more natural.

Bronze roof looks cool :)

EDIT: Would be interesting to think about adding bronze as a material to KaM .. bronze cannons, gates, statues ..
at the moment i am busy in the real world :) as an idea it might be good but I wont get around that this year, I dont think ...
Houses IMO is of a higher priority, so if i am able to finish the full set by xmas, that would be nice.

By the way, what do you think about making winter houses just for X-Mas? Taking existing houses and adding snow/ice to them. That looks like a much more doable goal )

I haven't got very much time yesterday, so I only improved my animations a bit. Now, I'll start making animations of robber walking to East.

Three versions of animations to compare:

I agree with Krom, snow versions of houses would be awesome :)
It could even become a mission setting so missions/maps in the snow could have snow on the houses, (player specific) that would be awesome :D

But then only on houses builded on a snow terrain? Or all houses?
It would look a bit weird to have snow on your houses on golden cliffs.

I suppose it would be map related or even tile related (I suggest 2nd level of snow tile and above), it would indeed be stupid if you have a house covered in snow in the desert.

I think the idea of snow houses for christmas is funny, but a bit useless. :P Arabic houses would be really cool, though, if you could choose a style for your faction for every map you play. It would really give you the feeling that you are playing against a really different faction or nation. The bandit is a pretty good idea, too. It might not work out very good, but I think it's a unique idea, and it's worth a shot.

The snow houses can be used in snowy areas of the map to make them fit into the terrain a bit better. I didn't really think it was related to Christmas, except it would be appropriate to release a feature like that at Christmas. (except here in Australia where Christmas is in summer :P)

I tried something on the snow covered houses. My first attempt was a little too blue but I added it for comparison.

You should match the style of the game (snow), pay attention to how it is drawen there, also I would suggest to seperate secrtions of snow between each tile of the roof to give it the feeling that there is a roof and give the feel of the shape of the roof.
