Hi all,

I made a map called World Map, here it is:
Image
I tried to make it the most similar to the real world (except for the coal/iron/gold spots)? If you find any mistake tell me :)

This is a 3 players map. No fog of war, every players can see the whole map since the beginning. Players are located in:
- America (storehouse is in the USA)
- Asia (storehouse is in North China)
- Africa (storehouse is in Central Africa)
Europe and Oceania are too small to have a village built in their land, so they became AI with no impact on the game (no army, everyone's ally...)

CHARACTERISTICS
America:
(+) PROTECTION: Can only be reached by going through Mainland Europe > Greenland or Asia > Indonesia > Australia > New Zealand > Antarctica
(+) START POSITION: Start close to coal and iron
(-) LOCATION: Both North and South America are small but can be linked by a road, so the village will be divided into North and South + Gold spot is far from the storehouse.
(0) RESOURCES: Reasonable amount of resources.

Africa:
(+) PROTECTION: Can only be reached by going through Gibraltar strait (Spain) or Suez strait (Egypt)
(0) START POSITION: The storehouse is surrounded by trees so the first buildings need to be built farther, by only 2 masons.
(+) LOCATION: Easily defendable, and quite large land.
(-) RESOURCES: Fewer resources, espeecially coal

Asia:
(-) PROTECTION: Can be reached by going through Russia, or Middle East, or Indonesia
(0) START POSITION: The storehouse is far from the gold, iron and coal are far away from each other
(+) LOCATION: A very large land
(+) RESOURCES: The land with the higher amount of resources.

I'll update this topic to upload the mission when I finished the scripting.

What do you think?

I love the shape of all the continents. They are exactly as they should be! Especially Africa, South America and Australia.

However, I have my doubts about the gameplay...

You're right that's the point haha. But I'm getting into scripting, and I might find a way to make it more challenging in some way. I'll update this topic when

Thanks! Indeed, I'll have to find a way to make the gameplay more coherent using scripts. You guys are right it cannot be played as a usual KaM mission.

It just occurs to me, that they are missing, they would add to maps versatility :)

My only complaint is that the USA isn't clearly superior to all others xD

Wow. When I used to play Age of Empires 2 (The Conquerors Expansion), I made a world map like this as well. (This brought back some good memories that I have forgotten). I can't say mine was as precise as this one is, however. :)
