Making 3 divisions is hard because there aren't enough proofs to classify.
From my position, I can try to separate all PROs in Veteran/Elite basing on stored Replays.

I'm waiting for the 1v1 tournament because there players will show their true potential (without lateral factors).

And when it will be ?

@Dark Lord/Beerzoeper: It is true that limits aren't transparent.
When I did the division in Pro+/Pro, I remembered every replay (and I saw many) from these players.
Furthermore, I always look at statistics and give priority to matches on "Maps with lot of space to build".

I tried a Player X / Player Y division. If you think is wrong then I put the long list again.

@Mulberry: Very nice bottle! Curiosity for you: Russians say that "Jeronimo" sounds great. "Jero" (short) is even cooler.

@Mike: July/August. But perhaps I get a better idea than 1v1 tourney.

You guys know what would be great? Official Ranking Test.
What do we need? 3 judges (good players). 1 list of rankless aspirants.

Do you remember Exams at primary school? This is similar.
Procedure: Aspirant plays 3 matches vs any of the Judges.
Judge always chooses Map and picks Location first. Used Maps can't repeat (5 available).
Then, the replays are reviewed by the 3, and Aspirant will get a qualification (average note from 3 judges).

Judges will qualify with Stars (asterisks), from * to *****.
The 3 Judges join their impressions and accord which Grade does Aspirant deserve.

The "Rankless List" will slowly become a true "Ranking List", when all tested Players start being ordered in the Categories.
New Aspirants may join the Test while is being made... the only requisite is having Account on forum.

The List... will be always at hand if you want to check how a player is like (while you are with him in a multi's room).
For updating List post-event (if you want to be higher), defeat a "stronger" twice in 1v1 building map. Send me 2 replays.

Jeronimo, i have tried my best to help you not take this so serious. Maybe i should be serious too now and explain few things to you. The first one is that i am pretty sure 1 man could never judge good enought about all this skillmarks, even if you are the besttopveteranelitesupermega player, wich you are not btw. 2nd thing: Refering to the "ratings" topic i can say that nearly everyone with fresh head on this forum could not see why the skillmarks should exist. And 3rd thing If you still want to do it, do it for yourself , because it would be very annoying to see someone not confident making this marks. Do you like to annoy people?

Jeronimo and other, i see you want 1v1 tournament, better invest some of your time in this project instead of waisting time on useless marks.

Hmm what can i say about the Russian one...my rank is about the same there as for example GWB. If i did translate the Russian right. Although i don´t know what they mean with "possibility to escape".

I am against any form of ranks. There are just not enough people that this will be required. People that played just one game with a so called pro+ will remember that it is a good player (even though i always tell them i am not

) So in my opinion ranks won't add a thing at this point of the remake.

Strange Russians, hahaha. I think 'possibility to escape' means the chance someone will leave the game before it ends. I'm curious how they count this, maybe those damned Russians do have a ranking system, but don't want to share it with the world

Wow, I was editing post, and I find 3 replies.
Well Mulberry... I know that "putting marks on the air" is very subjective.

I edited above, that I'm interested in organizing an "Official Ranking Test", like a entertaining event for many many players, and judges who like this stuff of.. mmh, watching replays and giving notes.
This kind of event would be more interesting to me than the 1v1 (but that's my case).

You can participate as Aspirant... a rankless soul as the others.

If you aren't interested in Rankings or Inner-Competition, that's not my fault Mulberry.

"Ranking Test" is the beginning for many, the Initiation...
The "After-Event" is important because a player might want to retry (to get higher).
For that he will just need to defeat a stronger player and that will be the proof that he has improved his gameplay.

There won't be something like "number 1", but 5 groups of players with similar level.
3 judges with long experience in this game, gives the event a proper interest.

For avoiding conflicts, etc--> the List is 1 again.
There won't be Ranking events, and finally...

Tournament 1v1 (bo3) will be when some people has free time to organize it.
I'm not eager to organize anything now.
