How to play custom maps with computer (AI)?

Hi, I am new here. I have been playing KaM for years and found this forum with loads of helpful info.

I would like to ask if there is anyway to play Custom maps (or the fan-made maps in this Forum) with computers (AI).

When I play custom maps (not the Campaign), normally the AIs only know to build the "Inn" to feed their army. They neither develop the army nor build any other buildings.

Is there any way to find AI to play with (beside the Campaign as I've completed so many times)?

actually now that you mention it, the version you play in does not have a fully worknig ai yet. But lewin released a new nightly build that has an improved ai that can challenge the average player. it is her eon the forum somewhere, i have not enough time to look it up at the moment.

Is the AI need to be installed? Or I just need to install the KaM itself and the AI will be included in that version?

But as far as I know, AI is not configured on every map yet. You can do it by yourself by changing AI settings in map editor, if you want to play on some MP maps with AI (since that's what you mean by custom maps I suppose...). Lewin wrote some useful stuff on wiki that can help you with that.

Or you can just wait until new realease is out, but only if you have enough patience, since it would take a few months .

Yes I know it. I am about to install it. Is this include the AI with every fan-made map?

Only nighlty include fully working AI.

been playing with the nightly for few hours. What an amazing job you guys have done. I never imagine that KaM can be restored to life in this perfectly new form.

Yea in orginal KAM AI was like cheater,script not even self sufient.

You still need to do that if you want a harder AI
