creating a server

I am trying to set up a game with my son, however when i create a server, my son can not find it.
If I create an internet server, it does not appear on his list, if I try a local server and try to connect it always fails.
I have tried changing port numbers, and searching via IP.
He has a disc copy and I bought a copy from gog, I used the same download to remake both games.
we both played the 2 tutorials, and they worked fine, any suggestions ?

Re: creating a server

It will not appear in lobby list because its lan server you need to get your pc ip and then give it to son to connect to your lan local server.
Use ipconfig in cmd and search for ipv4 ip adress

You can play on a LAN at the moment, but you need to enter your computer's IP addresses manually. In the next release it will detect games running on your LAN and display them in the server list.

To play on the LAN in the current release follow these instructions:
1. On the first computer, click Create Server -> Create Local Server.
2. On the second computer, click Find Server by IP, and enter the IP address of the first computer (leave port and room as defaults). Then click Connect.

You can find the IP address of the computer by pressing Win+R, type cmd, then in the black console that appears type: ipconfig. Then look for IPv4 Address (or just IP Address). It will probably be something like 192.168.1.2

Try temporarily disabling your firewall.

T*AnTi-V!RuZz i don't think so the scanning for lan server isn't implemented yet so its not the firewall issue
