Uploading replays and/or maps

Hi everyone!

I've noticed that some people are struggling to find file hosts to upload their maps or replays. To show you there is a very easy way to upload such files, here's a short tutorial.
There's only one pre-condition: Make sure you are uploading a .zip or .rar file. So compress the files you wish to upload to 1 of the files first!

1) Start writing your reply on the forum like you normally would. But don't use "Quick Reply". Use the normal Reply option instead.

2) Below the reply box, you will find the "Options" tab. Switch to Upload attachment.

3) Click on Browse and select the file you wish to upload.

4) Optional: Add File comment.

5) Submit your reply.

Your map or replay has now been uploaded and attached to your reply.

Instead of having all replays in 2 topics, is it ok to make a topic per player/ map or even game?
This forum has only 5 topics anyway.

That would be fine, feel free to make new topics in the replays section :)

It's may work like on other more popular RTS forums - there are sections called "training" or so, where players posting replays in their own topics and others are commenting it - pointing the flaws, giving advices etc. :)

Btw. Upload attachment, what a good option I missed before - files won't expire there! :D

Hmm, but as far as i know attachments are available to seee only for logged in, it might be a bit uncomfortable for guests. MAybe you'll consider changing this?

You're right about that, and we won't change that for a few reasons.

The upload has a size limit of rather low 256kb atm. Do you plan to increase that eventually?

Yes sorry, I saw your other post. It's been fixed now :)
