When I play KaM, I ofttimes find myself minimizing out of the game until more people join the lobby. My problem is that many actions have the same sound. If a player leaves, joins, or sends a chat the game will play the exact same sound. It gets confusing if your game is minimized. If you're disconnected/kicked from the lobby, a different sound will play, so why not have another sound for chat noises as well? Might also prevent noobs from leaving when they see "Player 1 (All): has quit"

I remember I already suggested different sound for chat events, and it got kinda rejected.

Sounds like a good idea, but we need new sounds for that

Remember what sado said Well looks like posting ideas several times indeed helps :p its clear that its bad when you have 7 players and minimize your gamr and a sound pops out, that you have look every time;, if a player joined, someone wrote sth or some player even disconnect/left the lobby. I also posted that idea but ingame, so chatting has different sounds then leaving the game :p

I decreased the pitch for the chatarrive sound and it is actually quite nice. It would work for when a player leaves a lobby. We still need a regular chat noise though.

Can't someone takes his trumpet and create 2 tones (and record that)? Than you have legal sounds in medieval style =D
