The only bug here is the overlapping text in the Polish translation. You are not supposed to be able to delete the message log, you can only "minimise" it. The message log collects a list of events and you can click on them to be taken to the location. Unread events will be coloured differently and the message log icon will flash when there are new messages. We made it like this to avoid getting too many messages piling up like you did in the original game.
I think the X sign was a little misleading. If in contrast to original KaM you can't remove this message log, then maybe you can put there some other icon than X? Or maybe I just have to get used to it
