Grammatically speaking, you use "farther" when referring to actual distance and "further" when speaking of distance metaphorically. For examples, "The house is a little farther down the road." and "He offered evidence to further show the man's guilt."

But I like "Further" as a word more

"Why are we here" because that is an easier solution to come to terms with. Living forever would require 'impossible' science
