Choose from 2, game

Okay, there are many forum games, maybe we try this one.

Rules:
You read previous poster question/situation and choose one of two options provided, with short explanation. And make your question with 2 options for next poster to answer.

Example:
What do you prefer Tea or Juice?

My answer:
I prefer juice since it has more flavours and needs no hot boiling water :D

And since I've answered that I put my question now:

What would you choose, a book or a movie?

I prefer books (as long it is a good one) since I can imagine whole worlds by myself and it takes you more time to read it than watching a film. AND: You can always read a book, but you cannot always watch a movie

Next one:
ICQ or MSN?

You can't read in cinema :D good points you mentioned though, I agree :)

ICQ, always ICQ! Dunno why exactly, but MSN is always complicated with me, starting from registration.. And with ICQ (I'm using QIP) it's always a piece of cake ))

Cake/pie or Icecream?

As long as it's a nice cake/pie, then that would be my preference. But I normally have cake/pie with ice cream.

Next: Thunderbird or Outlook?

Outlook, I'm just used to it and it fits all my needs :)

Espresso or Americano ? *coffee

As far as coffie goes, I don't like it, but I love the smell and Expresso has a nice smell so Expresso it is!

The next question is:

turkey or ham for dinner?

Ham because in Hungary it's a tradition to eat boiled ham at Easter. (I know turkey is popular in English-speaking countries at Christmas but by us that's fish.)

Next question:
Desktop or laptop?

Very hard question. I say laptop this time because my desktop has been broken since January (? or February) or missing the required hardware. Now I acctually have everything but school takes now more and more time since I started at upper secondary school so I haven't had enough time to configure it to ready-to-use (well, I'm also little bit lazy sometimes).

I've been using my laptop almost whole year by now. When I bought it at December 2008 it was quite slow to use. After formatting and replacing Vista with Xp, removing unnecessary things e.g. Bluetooth, most farthest/advanced optimizing and customising it has just about right amount power and it's enough fast to be tolerable for use. Since 2004 I've got use to faster computers which work smoothly and start in a minute. Yeah, maybe I got little bit spoiled.

And it almost runs perfectly all my lessnumbered games. (I didn't list my games fully at Tony's topic for a long time ago. ( =/ ) Anyway, the improved Action Quake 2 should get about 50 FPS more, 300 --> 350 so I could jump and move as well as playing it on desktop.)

Heh, it always seems to end that I get way, way past the original topic. :)

Next question: Vista or Xp?
(Yeah, the 7 has just become for sale at stores but I wanted to ask this.)

XP - it's much faster, at least on my computer (e.g. Vista's config tools were so laggy*); and it's more compatible with older software, too.

Next question: Firefox or Opera?

* - on 512MB of RAM

Opera for sure!
Not only I've get used to it, but it's actually faster and has everything I need right from the "box", without any unneeded buttons or gimmicks :)
Th only thing to complain - they do always change standard skin into something new, and I like old 9.0 skin :)

To the choice:
Winter+Summer tires for your car
or
All-season tires

PostPosted: 05 Nov 2009, 18:31
by Juba
Winter + Summer tires of course here in Finland. It's very slippery without the studs (dunno what's the real name for those spikes :D ) at winter. At summer you got like half less risk to get into hydroplaning (tires slide on the water so you can't steer or brake your car) with right summer tires. Well, we have two cars (both my parents have a job) but we change the tires all by ourselves.

Sports or tv + couch?

Sports for sure!

I really don't like watching TV (unless hooked up to a game system ) but I love playing sports, esp. basketball.

Next:

Fishing or hunting?

Fishing for sports. I don't like an idea of killing a living creature..

hugging
or
kissing ?

Both together, but because I have to choose, I'll say hugging, because you can do that with allmost everyone you really like.

Electric or acoustic guitar?

I'd vote for acoustic guitar, as it doesn't need any infrastructure, so for all those who live in the middle of nothing it remains an instrument. But anyways, electric guitars connected to wrong earthing have taken some lives in history.

Gas or coal-burning oven?
