Well, if you have one of the newest old (lol) win98 computers, you can also play Mount&Blade (original version) from 2008.

It doesn't work on win95, but on win98 it does.

sysreq's:
766 MHz processor
256 MB RAM
700 MB hard drive space
64 MB (directX7/9) graphics card
-----------
Or Trackmania's a lot of fun too

Windows 98
Pentium II 450 MHz
64MB RAM
32MB video card, DirectX 9-compatible video/audio hardware
-----------

Stronghold 2 is fun too..

some more oldies (or runnable on old computers):
Populous: The Beginning
Celtic Kings: Rage of War
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

Games for Win98, hmm. Image I recommend the best game-mod ever, Action Quake 2 - a Quake 2 mod. IMO the best FPS game ever - and the only one I play. And the game is completely free - the mod uses Q2 demo files to run.

Amazing speed, jumping and action create an excellent gameplay experience. I'm that sort of player who thinks that cool graphics and "eyecandy" are just extra. I never, never choose the game by looking it's graphics. The gameplay and feeling is almost everything.

E: AQ2 works also on all newer Windows versions, there are nowdays practically three different Q2 clients which are specialised for playing AQ2.
Ps. If you're intrested, ask for more or pm me. :P

I used quotes with that expression, IMO quite easy to conclude it's meaning when there are quotes.
It just means something which looks very cool (your eyes like it).

Red Alert 1 is awesome, if you get the expansions.
That were good times, before EA started screwing games up.

Also tried to play populous but didn't get it.

Civ2 is also an oldie of mine which I still play.

Worms+ for Dosbox.

Yeah I play Warcraft on DOSbox. Some of these games even require a virtual machine program to run which can be a hassle setting up. But in the end it's worth it.
