Anyone remember or know this little gem?

The interface felt quite clunky and it never ran smoothly on my PC; despite this, for me this game is up there, right beside KaM (and a few other games :P ).

There even is a gog.com wishlist entry on it: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/metal_fatigue

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know how its 3D meshes and textures could be extracted from its .tbd archives?

Its awesome opening cinematic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSCOaowF2UI

A few images from the game: Google Images search query

By looking at the topic name, I was sure someone just asked Krom and Lewin to make the iron weapons break themselves over time. I'm glad it's not the case :D Is it SP only or MP is/was possible too?

It has both a pretty good SinglePlayer campaign (with the chosen faction affecting who the narrator is and what your point of view is, but not the plot itself) and a MultiPlayer mode, although I never actually used it with other people.

It features tanks, jets, customizable combots (the in-universe mechas), and strategy on three separate layers: orbit, ground, underground.
Tanks can travel anywhere (with due transportation), while jets and combots can only fight on the ground or on orbit.

Each faction had unique soundtracks. I personally like the battle themes from Mil-Agro and Neuropa.
Since I have the complete OST, I uploaded it so you can appreciate good old music. :)

I can still play it, though with a few problems...

I use dgVodoo (it's a glide wrapper; http://dege.freeweb.hu/) and the trick of setting the system date to April 1999.
This works on WinXP, but I can't say for sure it will on Win7...
